In the middle of the City of Warren—kiddie-corner to the Struthers Library Theatre—stands the historic Sill House, easily recognized by its white picket fence. The New England-style home is the oldest framed house in Warren, Pennsylvania, built in 1830 by Thomas W. Jackson. In 1861, Maria Sill acquired the property and lived there for more than 30 years. In 1922, the property was purchased by John T. Newell of the Newell Press, who named the property “The Sill House” in honor of Maria Sill.
Today, the property is owned by Allegheny Valve & Coupling, Inc, and in January 2026, attorney Rob Greene—three-term District Attorney of Warren County—is going back to his roots in private practice, introducing Greene Group Law, to this historic site, adding a new chapter to the legacy of the Sill House.
